The Patrons/Emeriti Book Sale Center opened the fall season with a bang—a special half-price sale was held on September 8th and 9th to publicize the Book Sale Center and, as always, to help raise funds for the Library. The event, organized by Patron of the Library Marion Moll, was successful on both counts, drawing crowds of people and raising $1,570. The Patrons/Emeriti look forward to other special sales from time to time and, of course, during the fall and spring semesters, they make possible an ongoing sale of reasonably-priced books on every subject. The Book Sale Center is located in LS-113 (entered from inside Library-South, opposite the Circulation Counter). Regular hours for the ongoing sale this fall semester are: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 7:00pm. An infusion of new "pre-read" books is constantly needed to refresh the Sale Center—so donations are welcome. Gift books are screened first by librarians, to see if they would be suitable for the Library’s collection. For information on donating books, please contact Grace Bertalot in Collection Development at 278-2182. Grace
