| AVCMC Update |
Professional Activities Center - The Audiovisual & Curriculum Materials Center (AVCMC) has recently undergone some exciting changes. First is the integration into the AVCMC of the Professional Activities Center (PAC) from the Department of Elementary & Bilingual Education. This center, a complete laboratory of kits, workbooks, textbooks, and teaching aids, was formerly housed in the Education Classroom building. Over the summer it joined with the AVCMC to make the combined resources even stronger for teacher preparation. New Audiovisual Equipment - The second change is a major upgrade of the audiovisual equipment in the AVCMC. Dozens of new TVs, CD players, turntables, VCRs, and even some high-tech multimedia stations (with DVD and CD-R technology) have been added. All this new equipment is kept secure in locked viewing rooms, but is available for use (keys are checked out) at all times. Come visit the AVCMC and take a look! John Hickok |
