Government Documents
Federal and California state tax forms are available in the Government Documents Section of the University Library. Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms and Instructions (Publication 1132) contains the most frequently requested tax forms and instructions for easy photocopying. Federal Tax Forms on CD-ROM contains 500 of the current tax forms and instructions which can be downloaded and printed in Adobe's Portable Document Format. Taxpayer Information Publications are also available.
The IRS web site at URL http://www.irs.ustreas.gov is a well organized site offering useful information for taxpayers, including digital versions of tax forms and electronic filing options. Due to high traffic volume, this site routes all users through the text-only version called The Digital Daily. After accessing The Digital Daily, click on "Open Your Mailbox" to see the menu, which includes links entitled: Tax Stats, Tax Info For You, Tax Info for Business, Electronic Services, Taxpayer Help & Ed, Tax Regs in English, IRS Newsstand, Forms & Pubs, What's Hot, Meet the Commissioner, Comments & Help, and Site Tree.
