Semester - The newest
addition to the Librarys electronic landscape is the Internet Oasis,
located in the south wing of the first floor. Amid a cluster of palm trees can now be
found 50 self-service computer workstations. With the introduction of the Oasis at the
beginning of the Spring semester, Library users now have their choice among three primary
areas in which to gain computer access to the Internet. The area was created in response
to increased demand for computers. Previously, small banks of workstations had been
located in various parts of the building, making it more difficult for users to know where
to look at any given time for an available workstation. By consolidating most of our
computers in these three areas, we hope to offer greater convenience and better service to
users. Although the computers
are similar in their capabilities, each area is designed to be used for somewhat different
purposes. The bold print below highlights specific features which suggest when it is most
appropriate to choose one location over the other.

been buzzing with activity befitting its namesake.
