Free Article Delivery for Graduate Students - After two successful
semesters of the CARL UnCover Program for Graduate Students, the Pollak Library will
continue to offer graduate students the opportunity to order up to ten articles during the
Spring 2000 semester. CARL UnCover is an electronic periodical index containing more than
8,000,000 article citations from 17,000+ journals and magazines in all subject
disciplines. Using CARL UnCover, graduate students can order articles from periodicals not
available in the Pollak Library and have articles sent to any fax number they specify,
usually in 24 hours or less! This service is free to graduate students; the Library will
be paying the article delivery charges for articles under $50 each. All graduate students
are eligible to participate in the article delivery program. Carl UnCover continues to be
available free of charge to faculty, as it has been for a number of years.Applying
for a Carl Account - To start using Carl UnCover,
graduate students should bring their Titan ID to librarians at the Reference Desk (1st
floor, north wing), where they will obtain the information necessary to establish a
personal profile (or account).
Carl
Uncover Program Web Site - The
CARL Uncover Program Web Site is accessible from the Pollak Library home
page by clicking on Library Information, then on Departments & Services,
and then on Document Delivery - or click here to go
directly to the site. We encourage all graduate students to register online from the
program web site, access web-based user guides and technical assistance, and participate
in the assessment.
