About Library Update

In order to provide the campus community with additional hours of service and a more convenient location, the TitanCard Office relocated in July from the Bookstore to Pollak Library. The new location is adjacent the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the south wing.

Because the Library has always been a high-volume site for TitanCard activity, this move represents an attractive partnership. And given the expanded use of the TitanCard technology, we expect that campus users will appreciate the increased access afforded by the relocation.

TitanCard customer service staff will be available to issue cards, re-encode damaged cards, and replace lost cards immediately. They will establish TitanTender accounts for users. In addition, they will address any TitanCard equipment problems which may occur throughout the campus.

TitanCard’s Fall Semester Hours of Operation are the following:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Within the Library, TitanCards are used for many services, including check-out of materials, use of audiovisual equipment, photocopying, and networked printing. TitanCard users who take advantage of TitanTender accounts also have access to additional services such as computer labs in various locations, campus dining, vending machines, and entrance to events.

As TitanCard joins the complement of existing Library services, we are taking this opportunity to make modifications in the physical lay-out of the first floor of the south wing. These changes have been designed to improve both the functionality and aesthetics of the area serving Circulation, Reserve Book Room, and Interlibrary Loan operations. Self-service check-out equipment as well as computer workstations have been repositioned to facilitate their use. In addition, a new service counter will be installed later this semester that will not only offer users more efficient service but also improve access for the disabled.
