Information & Learning Commons (ILC)

Pollak Library has over 500 computers available for students, faculty, and
staff use. Login is required. Guest logins are available at most sites
unless a computer is dedicated to a specific use such as the Library Catalog
or Username Look-up. Visitors begin the guest registration process at the
standup computers in ILC North.The Information & Learning Commons (ILC)
formerly known as the Electronic Resources area (ER) is located on the 1st
floor of Library North. The ILC is a staffed computer area with over 125
workstations. Reference librarians are available to assist patrons with
research needs most hours the library is open.
The ILC provides patrons access to the following resources:
- 30 laptops for checkout
- Academic research databases
- Web access for course-related activities
- Black and white laser printing is available for $.10 a page. Color
printing is available for $.50 a page. In order to print, you must have
a
TitanCard with a sufficient balance.
- Wireless service and printing
- A Titan Tender machine is located in the ILC, 1st Floor North, so
that you can add money to your Titan Card. Money can also be added at
the Titan Card desk on the 1st Floor, Library South.
- Some basic supplies: manual and electric staplers, paper
cutter, tape, pencil sharpeners. These can be found in both the 1st
Floor and 2nd Floor North computer areas.
- ILC Support Staff are available to help with printing, username
look-up, and general computer questions.
- If all computers are in use, other options include:
- Titan Lab - Basement: 240 computers (staffed)
- Oasis South - First Floor South: 36 computers (not staffed)
- 2nd Floor Bridge: 10 computers (not staffed)
- 2nd Floor North: 34 computers (not staffed)
- ER - First Floor North: 60 Computers (staffed)
- Oasis North - First Floor North: 65 Computers (staffed)
ILC South
The Internet Oasis, now known as ILC South, has returned
to 1st Floor, Library South. Students must log in. The domain for students is ACAD.
