Pollak Library Service How Do I... Print Info
How do I place materials on reserve (CSUF Faculty only)?

CSUF faculty may place instructional materials (personal copies or library books) on reserve by accompanying them with a Reserve Book Room form. Print copies of the Reserve Book Room form are available at the Circulation Desk (1st floor, Library South).

Personal items must be bound or in a folder (three-ring binder or manila folder).

Library books must accompany the form when added to Course Reserves.

Electronic-reserve materials follow the same process mentioned above.

The following information will be needed to process reserve materials (Note: A separate form must be completed for each class).

  • Your name, department, and office phone extension
  • Course name (e.g., Intro to Archaeology) and course number (e.g., Anthropology 103)
  • Desired loan period for the materials (2 hours, 1 day, 2 days, or 7 days)
  • Author, title, and copyright information for each item

Instructors are responsible for clearance of Copyright Law for reprinted materials. All reserve materials must be in compliance with the “fair use” provision of the U.S. Copyright Law. For more information, please see the U.S. Copyright Office.
