Library Sections
Audiovisual & Curriculum Materials Center
The Audiovisual & Curriculum Materials Center (AVCMC), located on the 4th Floor, North Wing, of Pollak Library, houses the Library's Audiovisual items (videos, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, laserdiscs, LP records, films, etc.) and Kindergarten-12th grade curriculum materials (K-12 textbooks, lesson plans, kits, games, multimedia, juvenile books, etc.).
Interlibrary Loan
The Interlibrary Loan Department facilitates patron access to resources by borrowing, for CSUF patrons, materials not owned by Pollak Library. Interlibrary Loan requests are placed using ILLiad.
Circulation & Course Reserves
The Circulation Department strives to provide excellent, efficient, and friendly service to all library patrons. We check materials out and in, renew materials, manage patron registration, administer course reserves, handle “hold” and reciprocal items, assist patrons in locating materials and provide general information about the library and its services. Lost and Found for the library is also located at the Circulation Desk.
Periodical Services
Periodical Services provides public service, access, storage, maintenance, and management of periodicals in print and microform formats.
Collection & Processing Services
The CPS Unit works "behind the scenes" to build and maintain the Library's material collections. To briefly summarize unit responsibilities, CPS
  • systematically reviews and selects new resources
  • evaluates existing Library collections
  • accepts donations to the Library
  • orders and receives new materials
  • catalogs materials and prepares them for the shelf
  • maintains and enriches existing information in the Library Catalog.
Reference
Reference assistance is available to patrons searching all Library information resources.
Government Documents
Government Documents provides access to information from federal, state, and local government agencies. Documents are in print, online, and microform formats. Assistance is provided in researching topics and in locating specific information or materials. Link to: Government Information.
University Archives & Special Collections
University Archives & Special Collections located at PLS-352 is a closed stacks, high security reading room. Specialized materials do not circulate and must be used in the reading room, but a photocopier is available on site. Staff is available to answers questions and assist with research.
Library Administration
Library Administration is responsible for overall Library management, including personnel, budget and facilities, and can provide general information about the Library. The office for hiring student assistants and work study students is located in Library Administration.
