This page shows you
three ways to find VHS videos, CDs, DVDs, films, records and other
audiovisual materials in the Library Catalog. Students may check
CDs out for 7 days; other
audiovisual materials may be used in the library only. Faculty may
check CDs out for 7 days and check other items out for two days.

| Limit your search in the
Library
Catalog to “Audiovisual Collection only.” |

On the catalog's first screen, click “Select A Specific
Collection to Search,” and click “Audiovisual Collection
only.” Then search the catalog.
To undo the limit when you are finished searching the
audiovisual collection, click “New Search.”

| Search the
Library
Catalog on your topic, then limit search to material type
or location. |

Search the catalog. Click the Limit/Sort button near the
top of the results page. Limit “Material Type” to “Audio
Media” for audio CDs, audio cassettes and records, or to
“Projected Media” for videos, DVDs, and films. Limit “WHERE
item is located” to “A>Audiovisual. Click “Limit/sort items
retrieved using above data.” |

Catalog by Keyword using an audiovisual term. |

Examples:
wizard of oz and vhs
shakespeare and dvd
hoffman dustin and laserdisc
japan and videorecording (all video formats except
16 mm film)
mozart and soundrecording (CD's, cassettes and
vinyl LPs)
Note: To get a list of 16 mm films held by the Library, search
FLIC (Film Loan Intercampus Consortium) by Author.
