How do I cite sources using Chicago style?
The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th ed., is the authority used by writers in many disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Copies are available at the Ref Desk for in-library use (REF DESK  Z253 .U69 2003).

    Unofficial guide: CSUF Chicago Citation Style (PDF) provides a two-page overview of some of the most common citation needs for footnote/endnote and bibliography.
 
    Official guide: Chicago has provided New Questions and Answers, which provides answers to real questions users have asked. However, the print Chicago Manual of Style is the only authoritative source of citation rules. Copies are kept at the Reference Desk for in-library use.

    Online! Citation Styles: Using Chicago Style to Cite and Document Sources (Harnack & Kleppinger)
    Columbia Guide to Online Style provides in Chapter 2 extensive examples of citing electronic sources in scientific style (MLA & Chicago) and is available at the reference desk (Ref Desk PN171.F56 W35 1998).
