What is a Citation Index?
A citation index is an index to the references in the bibliographies of research papers. It helps you find out where an article has been cited and leads you on a research trail forward from the year an article was first published. Science Citation Index

A multi-disciplinary index, including citation index, to international journal literature in the fields of science, technology, and biomedicine.


Arts & Humanities Search (FirstSearch)

Cited reference searching searches the reference lists of over 2.4 million articles in 1,100 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals. It is the online equivalent of the Arts + Humanities Citation Index. Updated weekly.
